Thank you for your interest in our website. The protection of your privacy is very important to us. Below we inform you in detail about how we handle your data.

1. Collection, processing and use of personal data

You can visit our site without providing any personal information. We only store access data without personal reference, such as the name of your internet service provider, the page from which you visit us or the name of the requested file. This data is evaluated exclusively to improve our service and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person. Personal data is only collected if you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order. We collect, store and process your data for the entire processing of the order, for our services, technical administration and our own marketing purposes. You can object to the use of your personal data for advertising purposes at any time, either as a whole or for individual measures. A notification in text form to the contact details below (e.g. e-mail, letter) is sufficient for this purpose.

2. Use of cookies

We use cookies on various pages to make visiting our website more attractive and to enable the use of certain functions. These are small text files that are stored on your computer. Most of the cookies we use are deleted from your hard drive at the end of the browser session (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your computer and enable us to recognise your computer on your next visit (so-called permanent cookies). Our partner companies are not permitted to collect, process or use personal data via our website using cookies.

3. Disclosure of personal data

The provider uses the data communicated by the customer exclusively to fulfil the service offered. In this context, disclosure to the airline concerned as well as to partner lawyers, arbitration authorities and, if necessary, to a government authority is permitted. In order to process payments, we pass on your bank details to the bank institution responsible for payment. Otherwise, the disclosure of data to third parties is only permitted with the express consent of the customer.

4. Use of Matomo

In order to constantly improve and optimise our service, we use Matomo, an open source software for statistical analysis of visitor access. The provider of the Matomo software is InnoCraft Ltd, 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand.

Matomo sets a cookie (a text file) on your terminal device with which your browser can be recognised. If sub-pages of our website are called up, the following information is stored:

  • the user’s IP address, shortened by the last two bytes (anonymised)
  • the sub-page called up and the time of the call-up
  • the page from which the user accessed our website (referrer)
  • which browser with which plug-ins, which operating system and which screen resolution is used
  • the time spent on the website
  • the pages visited from the sub-page accessed

Matomo is used to improve the quality of our website and its content. In this way, we learn how the website is used and can thus constantly optimise our offer.

By anonymising the IP address by six digits, we take into account the interest of the website visitor in the protection of personal data. The data is not used to personally identify the website user and is not merged with other data. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is not passed on to third parties.

5. Embedded YouTube videos

We embed YouTube videos on our website. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA (hereinafter “YouTube”). YouTube, LLC is a subsidiary of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter “Google”). When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. This tells YouTube which pages you are visiting. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behaviour to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account first.

If a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behaviour.

For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by YouTube, please refer to the provider’s privacy policy, where you will also find further information on your rights in this regard and settings options for protecting your privacy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

6. Google AdWords

Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. The company operating the Google AdWords services is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. If you have accessed our website via an ad placed by Google, Google AdWords will set a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google.

If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognise that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked across AdWords customers’ websites. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information with which users can be personally identified.

You can find more information about data processing by Google in the Google privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. There you can also change your personal data protection settings in the data protection centre.

7. Right to information

According to the Data Protection Act, you have a right to free information about your stored data and, if applicable, a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data.

8. Contact person for data protection

If you have any questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal data, for information, correction, blocking or deletion of data as well as revocation of consents granted, please contact:
